..is just hidden among the city.

Kinja'd!!!

This entire thing is just abandoned roads that we're part of a buyout by the airport. Plenty of elevation changes and sharp turns. Makes the perfect little circuit course. I go back there all the time to play around. They don't plow most of it in the winter either!

Awesome. There was a unfinished housing development with three big roundabouts just north of my neighborhood that I use to go play in. Nothing better than having your own personal racecourse.

What plans do the airport have for it?

Much better than my abandoned-housing-development hoonville. The roads were never paved because they started sinking into the swamp that someone was too stupid to take into consideration... So there's no complete circuit and the curbs are way higher than the gravel leaving no room for error. I am super jealous.

They don't take good care of these roads because no one goes back there. But, the little gravel patches make a great aid to breaking the back loose.

just looked on streetview. but you know why its owned by St. Louis city? because the city owned the airport too, not st.louis county.

Also I think the were going to give that to Boeing when they were talking about building that plane here.

StreetView even cataloged it some of it. Neat.

Some of the streets are blocked off by "locked" gates. But people open them up all the time.
